Do you have a physical store I can visit? How can I buy your items in-person?

Currently, TribesOfKin does not have a physical store location; we are an e-commerce shop only. That being said, we frequently host pop up shops! Sign up for our email list and We will notify you of our upcoming pop ups and events.

Shipping Information

What USA Shipping Methods Are Available?

TribesOfKin is based out of Brooklyn, NY. It takes 3-6 business days for us to process your order and we ship Priority Mail, which takes up to 1 to 3 business days to get to . (Most times less! We’re super fast, but we cannot guarantee anything especially during holiday seasons.) Please allow up to ten business days from time of purchase for your goods to be shipped and delivered. Should any of that change, we will notify you in advance via email.

Please note we do not ship weekends or US federal holidays (Christmas Eve *December 24th* and New Year’s Eve *December 31st* also count as holidays since all shipping carriers operate on a limited schedule).

Disclaimer: It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide us with the correct shipping address. Once we ship your order out and we provide a tracking number, we can no longer modify the address. Once the order is shipped, the buyer assumes all responsibility for tracking their package. If a package is marked/tracked as “Delivered”, TribesOfKin will not process a refund for that package. The buyer assumes responsibility for return shipping costs, which will be subtracted from any refund owed.

Shipping notification simply means that the U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by TribesOfKin to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date of the package. Delivery status information is provided if/when available. Information is updated periodically, but there may be occasional delays. Please check again later.

NOTE: THE DELIVERY TIME ON THE TRACKING PAGE VIA USPS IS AN ESTIMATION. THIS IS THE CARRIER’S BEST GUESS AT WHEN THE ORDER WILL ARRIVE VIA THE SELECTED SERVICE. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE EXACT DATE PACKAGES WILL BE DELIVERED. 

Is Expedited shipping Available?

Our expedited shipping is for USA customers only. If you need your order in a hurry, we provide USPS priority mail express option, just select the expedited shipping option at checkout. Allow 1 business day for processing and 1 day for shipping, so about 2 days total from when you place your order. Let us know specifically what date you need it by and we will make sure it gets to you on time.

 

Do You Ship Internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally!

  • You are fully responsible for the tracking of your items once it leaves TribesOfKin’s offices and you’re provided with a tracking number.
  •  If you live outside of the USA and US territories, you may be subject to import and duty fees.

Please note: Depending on your location, the carrier may not keep the tracking information updated. It is the customer’s responsibility to check with their local postal services to see if their items have arrived to any country outside of the United States. Once the package leaves the offices of TribesOfKin, and the customer is provided with a tracking number, TribesOfKin no longer has control of the the item. If any item is marked as “delivered”, TribesOfKin will not process a refund for the item. If a package is returned to TribesOfKin because it was marked as “unclaimed”, TribesOfKin will process a refund (minus the shipping costs) for the item(s).

Please note: If a package is marked as “undeliverable” and/or “unclaimed” and is returned to TribesOfKin, we will automatically process the customer a full refund, minus the cost of shipping. We will not re-send the package.

Please allow up to 2-5 business days for your order to be processed, and additional two weeks for your order to be delivered. Most orders are delivered before then, but we like to be safe!

Customs Duty and import VAT: basics

If you’re ordering goods online for your own personal use, it’s important to be aware that tax and duty may be charged on top of the purchase price at the point of delivery. What’s due depends on the type of goods and where they come from.

If you buy goods online from outside the EU for delivery to the UK, you’ll have to pay Customs Duty (if over £120 value) and Import VAT (if over £18) on top of the purchase price (including duties), though Customs Duty is waived if the amount of the calculated duty payable is £7 or less. Please note there is also an £8 Parcel Force Fee for collecting the Import VAT.

How Do I Track My Order?

Once your order ships, you will get a notification with a  tracking number. All orders are shipped Via USPS, use your tracking number and track it on the USPS website.

  

How Does Exchanges And Returns Work?

Unfortunately, once you place your order there are no refunds. As a small business we get charged for refunds which hurts our growing business. We will gladly give you store credit or exchange any item(s) that do not fit for either the same item or any other item(s) of equal price. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your return shipping cost, thank you for understanding. Exchanges must be made 3-5 days after your package is delivered and item must not have been worn and should be in original condition/package.
